The client required a Social Networking solution, but at a heavyily discounted rate. Using an opensource solution called Elgg was the obvious solution. With a Facebook esque style and a user friendly system, it provided all of the functionality at a fraction of the cost.
The site needed to be dynamic and driven by the user content. The original Elgg theme was given a make over using CSS and optimized the site for search engies.
The website also allows users to create a personal area on the web just for them and create groups for discussions.
